Tres Hombres In Mexico

The three amigos -- LR, Ballantine and Rick -- escape the rain and snow of Canada to the très temperate tropics of Mexico City, Cuernavaca, and Acapulco....with a side trip to the monsterous, mysterious pyramids of Teotihuacàn. For LR's incredible story version of this trip, be sure to visit his site to read Acapulco.

Mexico City

Or, as they simply call it -- "Mexico" -- and why not? At 23,000,000 residents and counting, it's the largest city on earth. We visit the Zona Rosa, Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Anthropology, The National Palace (to see the Diego murals) and generally roam the streets...

Cuernavaca & Alcapulco

Cuernavaca...also called The City of Eternal Spring. Cortez build a fortress palace there; Malcolm Lowry used it as the background for Under The Volcano. We stayed at the ultra-plush Las Mañanitas Hotel and checked out the views from the pool, venturing once into the leaded-gas-filled streets. Alcapulco, the once-glamourous jewel of the Mexican Riviera, is today a tired old hangout for students, pimps and T-shirt stops. Sly Stone has a big house there, tho... (maybe)

The Women of Mexico

Sorta self-explanatory...
